CENTRAL INTERIOR, B.C. · NECHAKO WATERSHED
A unique partnership where four First Nations communities and Rio Tinto
are co-designing infrastructure for a healthier Nechako watershed.
A COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIP
The Ne Too Infrastructure Projects represent a unique partnership in the central interior of B.C. where four First Nations communities — Saik'uz First Nation, Stellat'en First Nation, Nadleh Whut'en First Nation and Cheslatta Carrier Nation — and Rio Tinto are working together to co-design potential infrastructure to support a healthier watershed.
This work reflects a shared commitment to respect culture, rehabilitate ecosystems, provide operational flexibility and resilience and continue building stronger relationships over time.
THE PROJECTS
All partners have worked together to develop and finalize a series of objectives to guide the development of options for detailed assessment.
Honour Indigenous knowledge and cultural connections to land and water.
Restore the health of the Nechako watershed and its native species.
Provide flexibility and resilience for business operations.
Continue building trust and partnership over time.
REACH OUT
As we advance planning for Ne Too, two-way engagement with communities will be a key priority throughout project planning to ensure project plans reflect partners' interests and values. We encourage you to reach out with questions and feedback.
